Sensory Integration
Sensory integration is the process of taking in and organizing information from our senses.
For people with Sensory processing disorder, this process doesn’t work correctly leading to meltdowns, anxiety, and avoidance behaviors.
Sensory integration therapy works to improve a child’s sensitivities to sensory stimuli that may be overwhelming to the child like.
Everyday sounds, smells, tastes, textures, bright lights and touches may all be addressed.
If you or someone you know is struggling with sensory processing, don’t hesitate to seek out help.
Our therapists can help your child to better process information from their senses, and to respond more appropriately to the world around them. And to make them feel more comfortable in their own skin.
